School Notes Highlight Quarterly Ends and Art Exhibit
This week closes the third quarter with tests on Thursday and Friday. Next week will publish names of those not absent and those scoring 100. Eighth grade finishes Evangeline, seventh studies Enoch Arden and Rip Van Winkle, fifth covers Fremont and Kit Carson. Poor attendance due to bad weather and illnesses. The Turner Art Exhibit, March 12 to 15, aided by local Woman's Clubs, features two hundred color and monotone pictures from Oak Hill Massachusetts. It offers world master study reproductions and nature scenes, hoped to be a pleasant social event for the community.

The Ladies Aid fundraiser for the new M E church drew strong attendance with Mrs. James Scorse delivering a splendid reading Penelope Penwick. The recent snowstorm brought joy to livestock raisers as moisture soaks the ground. Old settlers say the 13 inch snowfall on Saturday was the heaviest in 30 years around Holbrook.
