Wedded Mr Joseph L Wight and Miss Marcella Phelan in Flagstaff last Monday morning at six in the Catholic church. Rev Father Valore performed the ring ceremony. The groom is with Northern Arizona Painting Co and a Holbrook business man. the bride is among Flagstaff's charming young ladies. They arrived in Holbrook on No 8 Monday morning and stay at a Brunswick hotel while their cottage is prepared for occupancy.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints holds Sunday School in the Old School House at 10 30 a m. The YM and YL meet in Judge Larson s office each Sunday at 7 p m Everyone is invited to attend.
The Methodist Episcopal Church invites all to preach Monday at 7 20 PM and Sunday school at 2 30 PM. CARL M Ross Pastor. Oscar Marty of Indian Wells visited Winslow. Mrs. W J Adams stays at the Central with her mother Mrs. Saxton. C H Brown bought a new 35 Case car yesterday. Forest Ranger G F Nyce of Whiteriver bought a Ford from Walter McLaws. J R Hulet of the A C M L received a trio of Case automobiles this week. Judge Sapp adds a second story to his residence contract by A M Boyer.
Judge Sidney Sapp received appointment as grand organist at the Grand Lodge of Arizona meeting in Phoenix. He chairs Chalcedony Lodge No. 6 and LLoyd C. Henning served on the ritual committee. The pair represented Chalcedony Lodge at the state convention in the capital, spending a week there in a delightful stay.
Arthur Sharp eleven years five months died a few minutes past midnight Wednesday February 25 from pneumonia contracted within a week. Funeral held at 2 pm Thursday at the family home conducted by Rev. Jacob M. White of St. Pauls Episcopal Winslow. Interment in Fairview cemetery. Bereaved parents express heartfelt sympathy.
Frank McLaws of Snowflake was in town yesterday. Chas. Osborne is planting trees this week to beautify his grounds. A. L. Rencher renovates interiors with new floors. W. H. Clark and Jesse Hulet will depart for Prescott to serve as U S jurors. W. R. Scorse plants gooseberry bushes and builds a fence. Judge Sidney Sapp and Clerk W. B. Woods traveled to Winslow for business. A C M L plans a 30 by 150 foot warehouse near the section house, two stories, rock foundations, basement and cement floors needing 100000 bricks. "The Price She Paid" staged at Pastime theater drew a full house with strong audience interest and best talent sought for Holbrook shows.
Local cattlemen contract yearling steers at $30 per head this spring, similar to last fall's high price. Range is good and cattle are in excellent condition. Prospects for strong wool prices and top lamb prices this fall suggest a banner year for livestock growers.
We express sincere thanks and appreciation to friends for kind services during the illness and death of our beloved little son Arthur. Mr and Mrs Geo Sharp.
Mrs. A. L. Rencher suffers from a bone felon while Frank Delaney travels to Denver on legal business. Audelia Ortega and Santos visit Winslow for dental work. J. E. Richards, supervisor chair, attends town business. Clara Téuney returns home to Taylor after a cell visit. P. Cahoone hosts his Seattle brother over the weekend. L. B. Howard plans a dairy venture with new buildings in Holbrook. O. H. John and others visit Flagstaff Masons. John receives third degree. Attorney Thorwald Larson lectures on County Government to the Relief society and guests. Mrs. Larson serves refreshments.

The Santa Fe Limited westbound must now stop for passengers at all points in Arizona per the state corporation commission. The order, effective immediately, reverses a prior order requiring only limited stops and rests on sufficient district demand and service levels. The ruling clarifies future northbound train service, ending a long standing dispute.
R L Penrod known as Bob Penrod awakened by C Wallenbaugh and saddled his high jumping bronco leaping toward Payson 35 miles away. The chase lasted about two hours by real time with Dr Risser praising Penrod as the swiftest long distance rider he had seen. John Conner backs the account, urging cowmen to challenge.
Charles Miller Smith of Yuma was elected Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Arizona F and A M at the Phoenix officers election. Also chosen were Geo A Bridge of Bisbee deputy master F W Perkins of Flagstaff senior warden C C Woolf of Tempe grand junior warden R M Fredericks of Prescott grand treasurer Geo J Roskruge of Tucson grand secretary Francis A Shaw of Phoenix grand lecturer.
Rev. Jacob M. White will conduct Episcopal services in the Methodist church building in Holbrook next Wednesday March 4 at 8 o clock. All are invited. Rock for Jesse Hulet's house foundation was hauled to the site this week. Mrs. J E Crosby remains ill with pneumonia but is recovering. M Mickleson of Snowflake was in the county seat early this week. John Divelbess returned from the ranch to attend the dance last Monday. R C Smith publisher of Snowflake Herald is in Snowflake on business. Mr and Mrs Jay Patterson returned today from an extended stay in Los Angeles.
Deputy Sheriff Joe Young pursues George King from Ash Fork to Holbrook. King, wanted for horse stealing in Navajo County, is captured after a dramatic chase. He previously served a Florence prison term but returned to theft, moving through Puntenney Ash Fork Winslow and a Willow Creek ranch before the arrest. Local officials identify him as the same man connected to late 1912 horse thefts and recent livery yard dealings.
