Apache Railroad Nears Completion at Cooley
A S Bennet secretary of the Apache Railway Co. said the line has track laid to within three miles of Cooley the terminus and will finish this stretch before next month. Despite heavy snows and labor shortages the road will be finished nearly a year ahead of the initial schedule. Apache Lumber Co buildings are ready for machinery and a school at Cooley will open next week with Mrs Willoughby of Lost Angatan in charge.

New Oil Company Organized by A Baird

Geologist Baird’s Findings Endorsed by Geologists
A Scotch scientist and geologist A B Baird traced a fold in the Pennsylvania formation twenty miles south of Holbrook in March leading to the great Hk anticline and a prized uncemented sandstone anticline. Six top oil geologists now endorse his field as among the greatest oil lands.

Cadwell Company Expands Into East Side Lot
Last Monday the Cadwell Company bought the W. B. Woods lot beside the Pastime theatre, 17 by 150 feet, once home to the Toggery Shop and telephone exchange until a January 1 fire. Crews clear debris to build a new brick faced structure, using the old foundation and much of the brick for walls.

Busy Week in Superior Court Sanctions Fines and Orders
This week in superior court Judge Crosby fined Vicente de Baca $150 for selling two pints of whiskey to a Holbrook resident with Tomas Ortega as guarantor who employed de Baca. Juan Cortes was found guilty of aggravated assault and ordered to leave the state within 24 hours. Judge Lyman presided in P. T. Coleman v Woodruff Irrigation Co as Crosby recused. demurrer sustained and 30 days to amend. The Greer v Chap man case was set for trial but not acted upon by Judge Lyman.
