Brutal murder of Cross Canyon trader Frank Dugan shocks town
Frank Dugan, manager of the C. C. Manning Co Trad ing Post at Cross Canyon, was found murdered last week. He was beaten, dragged to a hay warehouse, looted, and the building set on fire in an apparent attempt to hide the crime. A mail carrier reported the fire to traders at Ganado, who reached Cross Canyon and found him. The body was sent to Gallup for burial. Authorities expect swift justice.
