Property owners have signed 69 of 85 required for a proposed parking district with a large owner holding 17 lots yet to respond. Only two owners opposed, costs outlined by blocks, and officials urge quick signatures as government pushes projects to create local jobs.

Addie Walker colored was held to await action of the District Court on a theft charge after a preliminary trial before Justice Fannin of Eunice. She was bound in one thousand dollars bond for allegedly stealing $45 from Bunk Henderson, a Worth Hotel roomer. The state was represented by John R. Brand. defense by Riley Cleveland.
Supervising Principal Charles Mills reports crowded conditions in the Primary Department of the Intermediate Grade Schools despite adding four teachers for a total of 27. Santa Fe. The Supreme Court on Wednesday reversed judgment in the Lea County Bank vs McCaskey Register Company case and remanded to Lea County District Court. The suit has lingered since July 5, 1930, with the bank having originally won. Justice H. L. Bickley wrote the unanimous decision directing trial pursuit in line with the opinion.
Lubbock planning for the Panhandle South Plains Fair September 23 to 26 drawing about 200000 attendees.
