Riddle Taken To Pen In Pitiful State
Sheriff Sam Cain left Sunday for Santa Fe with M. C. Riddle to the penitentiary after his bondsmen surrendered him following the New Mexico Supreme Court ruling upholding a district court conviction and 5 to 7 year sentence for murdering his wife. Riddle, who had been free on 5000 bond, had a 30 year prior sentence and has recent oil field work and injuries, now in a pitiable physical state.
