Flames burst from P C Beamer's bicycle shop near the Sprec kels Block on Tuesday afternoon as a gasoline stove used in the japanning oven exploded. A small fire caused minor damage to mouldings and mats. manager David Reinhardt sustained a minor hand injury while trying to remove the burning stove.
The Companion of the Lord's Supper will be administered during the morning service and new members will be received. Also notes about rheumatic pains and relief offered by Chamberlain's Pain Balm sold by Hill Drug Co.
Major John Milsaps in command of Salvation Army work on the Islands has farewell orders for an appointment near Chicago and will depart the Islands the first of next month. His farewell meetings in Hilo will be Wednesday and Thursday evenings September 7 and 8.
Japanese horseshoers on Oahu travel to Honolulu for farrier licensing exams. The Honolulu board emphasizes hoof anatomy and remedies with a written question list. None of the Japanese candidates passed the first test, a hat-forged iron horseshoe demonstration. A separate sale reports land on Vashon belonging to Annie T. K. Parker estate fetched 124000 dollars. A charity ball at Spreckels Hall benefits the Catholic Ladies Air Society with officers named J S Canario, R A Lucas, de Mello, and Auite Canario.

Notice from Hilo Hawaii dated September 25 1905 states Win Fernandes is appointed collector for Sermo Liquor Co Ltd and is authorized to collect all accounts. Serrao Liquor Co Ltd manager Jose G Serrao confirms authority.
Proposal to form the Mountain View Saloon as a stock company with a capital of 5000 dollars. Shares priced at 10 dollars each available from the undersigned to any person of any nationality. Saloon has obtained a license to sell spirituous and malt liquors. Apply for full information to the undersigned.
