J H Maby jailor invites sealed tenders at the office of the Title Jail until 12 noon on December 18 1905 for twelve months of prison supplies including beans beef salt fish salt pork and salmon flour rice bread potatoes leather tobacco lard utensils soap and clothing all to Amoskeag denim and to be delivered to Hilo Jail with samples on bid.
Proposals are invited by the Superintendent of Public Works in Honolulu for masonry walls and a shed at the head of the Hilo Water System Hawaii. Plans and forms are available with a $5 deposit, refundable after return. Bids must use furnished forms and include a $100 bank check, delivered by December 11 1905 before noon.
Wing Sing Co of Front Street Hilo assigns for the benefit of creditors. Creditors must file claims with the assignee Ridgway Ridgway within thirty days and debtors should pay immediately. All claims must be certified. The Von Hamm Young Co Ltd assignee of Wing Sing Co Hilo Hawaii November 18 1905.
Myra Keonaona Todd 18, of Hilo, drowned after a canoe capsized near Cocoanut Island while returning to the Waiakea river landing. Onlookers on the bridge watched the struggle as George N. Day and Amy Williams were rescued, Sarah Todd saved by Antone Oliviera, and the body recovered after a Monday search. Todd, a longtime Hilo Telegraph employee, leaves parents William A.
