Cable Anglia lands cable at Malate Manila

The Cable S S Anglia landed the cable at Malate north of Manila in a successful ceremony witnessed by a large crowd including Taft government officials, army and navy members, and social groups. The Anglia will lay sections between Manila Guam and Midway Honolulu, with arrivals anticipated at Midway June 18 and Honolulu July 3. Allen sentenced to two and a half years in Oregon penitentiary for forgery.

Health Board amends Hilo fish market rules 1903

Hawaii Board of Health in Honolulu issues amendments to Hilo fish market regulations adopted April 15 1903. Restrictions prohibit sale of fish except at designated markets Wulaken and newest market with Inspector supervision.
