Sacramento March 1 Legislature adjourned in respect to Mrs Jane L Stanford who died in Honolulu last night of suspected poisoning. The chamber paused as members paid tribute and reflected on her public charity and affiliations with Stanford University.

Judge De Bolt ordered 1,072.27 acres of the 1905 sugar crop withdrawn to allow a harvesting and sale contract with Olan Sugar Co. and transport by Hilo R. R. Co. The petition argued crop deterioration would occur if not harvested soon and that granting the petition benefits all parties.
