New Orleans reports twenty three new yellow fever cases and six deaths on August fifteen. By August seventeenth the epidemic shows signs of abating with improved virulence and the situation promising improvement. On the same day nineteen new cases and three deaths were recorded, as the fever's virulence declines.

Banana Planters Discouraged Near Olaa and Buffalo Station
