Fire Chief Carmen R. Dill Sr warns Halloween costumes pose major fire risks. Use flame proofing on store bought outfits or home treated fabrics with borax and boric acid. Keep children away from flames and heat sources and choose light colored costumes for visibility. Use flashlights not candles for pumpkins and avoid dry autumn decorations near open flames. Follow safety rules to keep the hobgoblin of fire at bay this Halloween.
