Milk Price and 7 Cent Fare Target GOP Indifference
Milton B. Conford Democratic Assembly candidate from Hillside criticizes the Republican administration for high New Jersey milk prices and the 7 cent Public Service fare. He cites December 1948 efforts by Governor Driscoll, actions by Attorney General Parsons, and later NY price reductions as evidence of consumer harm and unjust fare increases. He notes Public Utility Commission testimony showing fare increases boosted Public Service Company net income and stock returns.
