Baker charged in fake real dough theft case

Benny Skrobinski, 40, of 424 Slie street Perth Amboy, employed by Town Bakery, was charged Tuesday with grand larceny and breaking and entering. Held on $5,000 bail by Magistrate Sidney Birnbaum. Police had surveilled the bakery since August after thefts totaling $628 from the cash register.

Ukrainian Church Plans Two Masses this Sunday

Burglary At Mayfair Liquor Store On Broad Street

Thieves stole 15 to 20 vases of top brands valued at 1004 dollars and 255 dollars in cash from the Mayfair Liquor Store on North Broad Street early Monday. The break in was detected by Richard Frederico, who runs a shop next door. The burglars cracked a rear bathroom window in the barber shop and smashed a plaster wall to reach the liquor store, taking about one dollar from the barber shop as well.
