Police and Fire Pension Fund expansion debated by township

Township committee introduced two ordinances to extend the Police and Firemen's Pension Fund to members of both departments for duty not tied to their usual work. The measures, framed by officials including Chief Paul F. Karlesky, seek to authorize aid to others in emergencies and clarify property access under officer direction. The committee reserved decision on the proposals and discussed funding for 1954 and 1955 expenses linked to these changes.
