Hillside Police Nab Four Adults and Three Juveniles in Larceny Case
Hillside Police announce the arrest of four adults and three juveniles on breaking and entering and larceny charges at Regency Flowers and Wheeling Transportation. Adults Alvaro Albuquerque George Evangel Gary Kolski and Jay Solomon faced additional marijuana possession counts and were released on 500000 bail after arraignment. Juveniles were released to parents. Police credit a 72 hour operation involving Patrol and Detective divisions and narcotics officers for recovering stolen property and executing search warrants.

Colonel Edward J. Henderson announced that New Jersey’s October draft call targets men with lottery numbers 1 through 95 from the 1972 First Priority Selection Group born in 1952 and 1953 who have not yet received induction orders. About 2933 registrants born before 1953 with numbers 1–95 and those born in 1953 with numbers 1–70 will be sent for pre induction exams at designated stations, Hillside residents at Newark. Under the Uniform National Call System all eligible registrants with the same lottery numbers are called to report in the same period nationwide.
