Police Chief Commends Patrolmen Detectives For 1970 Actions
In November 1970 a 16 year old was struck by a pellet from an air pistol in a car incident near his home. The boy recovered after hospital treatment. Sgt Lepore and officers Lordi and Feniak apprehended three juveniles and located the weapon. Chief Shelbourne praised the team. other commendations followed for October and September cases, including arrests for breaking and entering, assault, robbery, and book making, with multiple officers cited for patrols and interrogations.

Knocked Down Purse Nabbed in Street Theft
Mrs Helen Delegyl, 59, of 1579 Summit Ave, was knocked to the ground about 6 03 p m last Monday and her purse stolen by two teenage thieves. A girl grabbed her from behind as she walked in front of 1593 Summit Ave. The pair, both about 15, fled toward Newark. Manufacturers warn few students study economics in New Jersey
