Public Meeting Change for Municipalities Convention

Public meeting date adjusted for the municipalities convention. The event now runs November 16 through November 18. Township meeting remains scheduled for November 10 with the three sessions on November 3, 15 and 16 in the US plat.

Food stamp applications announced at Municipal Building

Residents may apply for food stamps at the Municipal Building in Wedtesdiw on November 17. They should bring rent receipts WAH medieval wills and required documents. The local Welfare Department assists applicants for the state program with help from Mrs. Gold at 23-6300.

Art Show Winners Chosen In Spite Of Cloudy Skies

Hundreds view the Hillside Art Show at the Hillside Community Center with original works in painting, drawings, watercolors, sculpture, leather goods, and needlepoint. Judging by Luigina Monti and June Roth Krasner, awards presented by Sally Katehen and Carmen Sisto. Best in show goes to Nancy Dougherty. other top prizes to Gladys Denby, Til Reitman, and Milton Siegal among painters, crafts, and children entries. Show open 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. with free viewing through November in the Hillside Municipal Building lobby.
