Fort Dix Army Pvt Lawrence Strommen 24 and Pvt Howard M Searle 20 from Hillside begin six months of active duty training under the Reserve Forces Act. Strommen wife Maj Papel resides at 1294 Myrtle Street Hillside and Strommen is a former Bell Telephone Co employee. Searle recently completed armored crewman course with Seventh Army Tank Train at Bad Kissingen Overseas assignment since September.
