G O P Freeholder Fight Set In Union County Primary
Freeholder Albert J. Benninger endorses Ernest Hickok of Summit and Sherwood C. Valentine of Rahway. He urges Union County Republicans to back these men to end the “dictatorship” of the old guard and revitalize the county organization for a strong presidential year. Benninger praises their integrity and public service and links the April 15 nominating vote to closing the private club atmosphere in county government.
