Two youths steal purse on Summit Avenue near Newark line
Mrs. Jessie Kramer reported two about 15 year old youths snatched her purse while walking on Summit Avenue near the Newark city line. They fled west on Keer Avenue in Newark after taking the bag containing papers and household keys. One wore a striped polo shirt with dark pants and the other a white shirt with dark pants.

Man Charged After Hitting Two Cars and Fleeing Scene
Josgh R Volage, 26, of 47 Madison Ave Elizabeth, faced a leaving the scene charge after his car struck two parked vehicles on Baltimore Ave and Voorhees St and he was found changing a tire on his car on S State St. Patrolman William Rupp reported the eyewitness events. The struck vehicles belonged to Raymond Eichler of Jacksonville Fla and Dena D Lininger 18 of Center St.

Hillside resident nets hole in one at Shackamaxon
Hillside resident Mr. Robert Popper of 23 Exeter Highway scored a hole in one at Shackamaxon Country Club. The ace makes him eligible for the Rusty Nail Hole-In-One Sweep, a national golf competition offering a trip for two to Scotland and a $1,000 cash prize.

Alumni Replace School Banner After Banner Went Missing
Hillside High School Class of 1967 will not see the banner issue, while Class of 1942 helped resolve it. At their 25th reunion, a maroon and white banner disappeared and Hewitt Manufacturing Co. of Clifton rushed a replacement, delivered by Ben Zimmerman.
