Industry Aid Clears Hillside PAL Building Debts
Eleven Hill side industrialists through the Hill side Industrial Foundation contributed 10 551 BS to Hillside PAL Building Fund. Originally the foundation gave 40 000 for construction with township pledges to raise about 20 000 for operations and future needs. William Buie led the effort, with Harry A Cooper and James A Oneil coordinating support from firms.

The crumpled steel footbridge at Lehigh Valley tracks near Pennsylvania Ave is removed after a freight incident, tying its fate to the Aldene Plan and Long Ave crossing changes.
