Montclair State College confers 62nd commencement degrees
Seven Hillside women among 1,300 graduates at Montclair State College May 31 as the largest class in the college’s history. Notables include Theresa Kraemer and Theresa Kostes of Hillside, Rose Lapinski, Linda Moses, Carol Powell, Marlene Sobel, and Barbara Stanley. Each senior plans to teach or pursue advanced study, with majors spanning psychology German Spanish social science physical education and music. Three Injured In Route 22 Rear-End Crash
Three members of the Delello family were injured at 9 p.m. last Thursday when their stopped car was struck in the rear as they waited to enter Route 22 eastbound. Frank E. Delello, 39, and his infant daughter Desiree, 1, hit their heads on the windshield. Karen Delello, 23, suffered a finger and neck injuries. Alan J. Boehmler, 19, the driver of the other car, said he thought the Delello vehicle was moving. Patrolman Louis Federico investigated.

Michael Galdi Jr earned a doctor of dental medicine from the College of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey at Newark. The 12th annual commencement at the Garden State Arts Center Holmdel NJ on June 5 awarded 40 dentistry and 77 medicine diplomas. Child Hit By Car Injures Head Near Newark
Five year old Albert Johnson Jr of 1596 Crescent Ave was struck by a car driven by Aubrey G Hunt of 14 Cypress St Newark. Witnesses say Hunt was driving north on Maple Ave near Williamson Ave when the incident occurred last Wednesday afternoon.

Dropped Smoke Driving Hazard Causes Vehicle Crash
Irvington youths John J. Hickey Jr. 17 and Shirley Fayerthe 18 were injured last Tuesday when the car they rode in struck a parked vehicle near 291 McLean Place. Hickey said the crash happened as he reached for a cigarette he dropped, suffering cuts to his right leg and left arm. Fayerthe sustained cuts to the head and face and neck and back pains.
