Damage Report From Kowles Playground Incident
Considerable damage occurred to a bleacher and bench at the Kowles Playground on Central Ave during Tuesday night or early Wednesday. A garbage can was overturned and reported to police. A bicycle owned by 13 year old Robert Phillips was stolen from Central Bowl on Broad St on Wednesday afternoon by four unknown boys aged 13 to 15.

Enforced Hour Parking Proposed for Hillside Businesses
The Municipal Parking Committee concludes one hour parking may ease traffic near North Broad Street Liberty Avenue Hollywood Avenue and Maple Avenue. If approved the rule could run to 9 pm with a plan to extend stalls by two feet and mark the Municipal Lot on Bailey Avenue to enforce one hour parking.

Combined Classes To Start In Fall

Former Mayor Goldhor Injured In Township Incident
Henry Goldhor 58 Democratic Township Committee candidate was struck by illness and taken by ambulance to St Elizabeth Hospital in critical condition. Soldier Letters Home From Viet Nam Run on Cardboard Card
Private John Joseph Hodavance of the first Marine Division ran out of envelopes in Vietnam. He sent a letter home written on a cardboard flap from a ration carton, crossing out the meal label to include both home addresses. Hodavance, a Hillside High School graduate, has served three years since June 1965 with training at Paris Island and postings at Camp Lejeune and Pendleton. His parents still mail stationery weekly after notification of the shortage.
