The board of Investors Savings and Loan Association voted to increase the regular passbook savings dividend to 4 3/4 percent starting July 1. President Harvey J. Young said the rate is the highest in New Jersey and will not be encumbered by bonds or restricted by waiting periods. The move aims to sustain strong earnings with assets over 85 million and reserves at high levels, adding about 200000 to year end distributions and bringing six month totals to over 1700000 for savers with accounts of 50 or more. Over 40000 passbook savers hold more than 77 million in deposits.
