Six Youths Hurt In Highway Crash Near Morristown
Six Morristown youths were injured Monday night when the car skidded on Route 29 near the North Broad street overpass, overturned twice, and stopped in a gully opposite Lehigh Valley Railroad. Walter Walker and John Spencer were treated at Alexian Brothers Hospital, Elizabeth, with shoulder and head injuries respectively. both in satisfactory condition. Robert L. Gregory 3d, driver on a permit, had slight head injuries. Others, Carl Smith Lewis Broome and George Johnson, received minor injuries and were released. Gregory was speeding. a summons for careless driving will lead to an appearance before Magistrate Clarence E. Kremer Saturday.

Frank Dominick won a 2757.50 bid for Windsor Way sanitary sewers. Central Avenue Playground fencing bids referred for tabulation. Storm sewer blocks in Liberty avenue Ryan street area referred to engineer for review. An offer of 17605 for a block bounded by Lakeview Riverside Crystal Marine will be sold July 26 to Dr James C Hanrahan who plans to form a corporation to develop the area with single family homes. Scholarships Awarded by Hillside Rotary in Tribute to John LaBar
Two scholarships were granted by the Hillside Rotary Club at a Tuesday meeting. George Baker will attend Cranford Junior College with a $100 award, and Elaine Nadler receives a $150 nurse's scholarship to train at Elizabeth General Hospital. Also noted: no meetings in August and a planned fishing trip mid August. Funeral services for John S. LaBar, 81, were held at Walter Lee Funeral Home after his death Saturday at Alexian Brothers Hospital Elizabeth. He served as secretary of Midway Building & Loan and worked at D I Miller Coal Co. He is survived by a daughter and three sons, plus four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
