Woman Injured In Auto Crash

Police arrested James Martin on a charge of driving while impaired after a crash that injured Sandra Gardenier and involved Helen C. Kuhlewein. Gardenier, 31, was treated at St Elizabeth Hospital. Kuhlewein, 43, was unaffected aside from vehicle damage. Martin refused a breath test, facing automatic license suspension. bail was set at $200.

Drug Law Course Completed by New Jersey Officers

William Metzger and fellow officers completed a special drug law enforcement course at the State Police Training Center. The Hillside Board approves a tentative $4,394,252.63 budget for 1971 72 with a $937,223.75 increase over the current year. Attache Stolen After Vehicle Left Unlocked at Hess Station

John M. Kwenick of 1263 Clinton Place Elizabeth reported a theft at 2:50 pm last Thursday. An attache case valued at 30 dollars disappeared from an unlocked vehicle at Hess Gas Station 1484 N Broad St, owned by Nestle Co Inc of Toms River. He had left the car to make a call. upon return the case with miscellaneous papers was gone.
