Hillside planning committee outlines goals for T and E education
The Planning Committee for Goal Development met January 27 at Hillside High School to review ideas from community organizations and residents presented at the January 20 Public Meeting. It aims to set Thorough and Efficient education goals per New Jersey law with input from staff students parents and local groups. An invitation was issued for a second Public Meeting on February 24 at 8 p.m. at Hillside High School.

Township names Adam Samiec as engineer to replace resigning
At Tuesday night public meeting the township appointed Adam Samiec as Township Engineer, taking over from Armand Fiorletti who resigned. Samiec, a Hillside resident and city engineer for Irvington, will serve Hillside part time while retaining his Irvington post. He will be on a $2,500 annual retainer, plus $250 per hour for consultation and $40 per hour for capital improvement projects.

Senior Citizens Nutrition Program Starts February 14
