Umbrella Falls Crook Aided By Elizabeth Woman
Mrs. Marjorie Maciver of 136 De Hart Place Elizabeth fought off a purse snatcher Wednesday by striking him with an umbrella until the thief released the pocket book. Police said Mrs. Blanche Goldberg of 1544 Schley Street Newark reported her bag stolen on Fabyan Place. The incident occurred on Hillside Avenue when the youth grabbed her and fled toward Norman Street.

Collision Injures Two on Morris Ave Route 22
Two township residents Walter Rothenberg age 48 and Mra Flamne Rothenberg age 39 were treated at Memorial General Hospital after a snow covered road collision at Morris Ave and Route 22.
