Barbara Urbine of Brisyers Products Division led a $5,429.83 contribution to the Bristol-Myers Community Chest Red Cross drive. Everett Davies, chairman, noted the third straight year of employee participation with overtime donated by Bristol-Myers workers. Eighty one percent participated. John Winkle Orlando Domina and Arthur Naylor head the employee committee managing the drive.

Car Moves Block Arrested In Theft
Rudolph Singlepary of 186 Spruce street Newark was detained after a stolen car moved one block and stopped on a curb at North Broad and Forden streets. Patrolman Issler recovered the car after a bystander saw a man leave it moments earlier. Singlepary claimed he used a stone to break a vent, rolled the car down a incline, failed to start it, and abandoned it near North Broad and Looker streets after driving a short distance.

Girl Injured When Stalled Car Goes Aground
A stalled car that was restarted by a young man resulted in injuries to 16 year old Patricia Hogan of 49 Murden Street. Police say Edward Guiles of 958 South Springfield Avenue Westfield asked Hogan to move to the driver's seat. the car lurched forward, struck trees and a curb, and Hogan was thrown or jumped from the vehicle.
