Bus Driver Jailed on Death by Vehicle Charge in Jersey City
David Lee Fissell 28 of Elizabeth held on $1000 bail for Grand Jury after Public Service bus he operated struck Franis Mikulewicz 45 of Jersey City near North Broad Street on Nov 14. Mikulewicz died two days later at Elizabeth General Hospital. Fissell says Mikulewicz jumped in front of bus waving arms after 8 pm. he applied brakes but bus skidded.

Home Burglary Strikes While Family Slept
Burglars pried open a rear door at 25 Williamson Avenue and stole about $1,000 in valuables from Mr and Mrs Jack Einhorn while their two children slept on the second floor. Items taken include a saxophone valued at 250, two ladies watches, a silver set, and about 20 bottles of liquor.

Hughes presented Marlo with the Spotlight trophy as The Best Musical Group for 1961. Marlo plays five instruments sings and dances with training at Newark Conservatory of Music and Juilliard School.
