Richkus Given To Sept 15 To Fix Plumbing Error
Stanley Richkus of 585 Route 22 faces a September 15 deadline to correct a plumbing code violation blamed on the state department of transportation. Sanitary waste from his property was entering the storm sewer, causing odor and posing contamination concerns. Plumbing inspector David Ordower and fire department staff inspected eight homes. the state maintains the owner is at fault, while Richkus seeks state correction or action. The issue stems from a 1967 reworking of Route 22 storm sewers that allegedly linked Richkus’s line to the storm system. repairs would cost between 100 and 200 dollars and require about two days.
