PAL seeks floor repair after a water pipe burst July 25 to August 1 in the main activity room while closed for vacation. Detective Stier aims to flatten the warped floor. if unsuccessful a new floor may cost about $5,000. Donations will fund sanding, refinishing and materials with completion hoped by September 8 as school opens.
Knights of Columbus Rev Canty Council held an annual picnic on August 21 at the Elks grounds on Hillside Ave. More than 600 people attended enjoying games for all ages, softball and other sports, and refreshments from the stand.
