A Hillside couple died in a Sunday auto crash with Public Service Electric and Gas. Nicholas San Filippo Sr. 47 and Beatrice Pagano San Filippo 48 died at Memorial General Hospital Union after their car skidded on rain slick pavement. Their two year old son Richard had facial injuries and possible internal injuries. he was listed in fair condition. Funeral arrangements are by Growney Funeral Home. A High Requiem Mass was held at the Church of Christ the King.

Miss Englert aged 18 of 318 Foxwood Road Tinion was killed instantly about 2:07 a.m. Monday when her small convertible rammed two poles, hedges, and a rock on Liberty Ave near Fitzpatrick Street after losing control at a turn.
