Hillside finished fifth overall with 15 points as 16 communities competed at Warluanco Park Elizabeth. Joseph McLaughlin Calvin Coolidge won Hillside Chess and county title and Pamela McNamara Central Avenue Hopscotch champion and youngest first place winner.

Hillside Industrial Champs In Town Archery Exhibit Planned
Hillside Industrial Association won the town championship for the third straight year and beat Kiwanis 8 to 1 in game two of a best of three series. An archery exhibit by Larry Botkin is set for August 21 1956 at 7 00 p m at Woodruff Section Park with demonstrations and technique explanations.
