Newark League delegates attend asthma relief convention
Mrs. Nathan Barbarosh of South Orange a former Newark League president attended the 49th annual convention in Denver Colorado at the Cosmopolitan Hotel July 29 to August 1. She spoke on Newark League fund-raising and new chapters in Cranford Livingston Springfield and West Milford. The Newark League supports the Denver Home for Asthmatic Children and delegates from 53 chapters visited the facility. The League will resume meetings September 17 at the Essex House Newark led by Mrs. Milton Roth.

Chairman Named for Kenny Fund Appeal in Union County
Robert F. Olsen, a five year project engineer at Thomas & Betts, will direct the 1956 Sister Elizabeth Kenny Foundation Fund Appeal in Union County. State Chairman, and vice president of the New Jersey State Civil Service Commission, announced the drive to run in September with a Union County goal of 30000 toward a state total of 200000 and an Eastern Area goal of 421000. Olsen warned polio remains a danger, citing Chicago outbreaks and ongoing needs for treatment and rehabilitation.
