The proprietor offers dry goods groceries confectionery cigars chewing and smoking tobacco and a wide range of livestock and farm supplies. Trade is urged with promises of good bargains and fair exchange for corn fodder oats seeds cloths feathers and more.
Pre subscribers have just received a large supply of drugs medicines paints and dye stuffs. The village Drug Store offers these articles at the most reasonable terms. The list includes items such as Sulphate of Quin? and other goods now on hand.
The committee stresses grasses as the truest farm wealth, urging extensive meadow culture, proper curing, and drainage. It argues feeding livestock on hay saves corn, promotes horse health, and warns against overreliance on grain. It recommends native grasses, swamp varieties, timely mowing, drying, and salting hay to improve value, noting millet, clover, and timothy as productive. The report urges renewed attention at the society’s next annual meeting.
