Adoption Brings Bright Future for Baby Anne in North Carolina

The Children's Home Society of North Carolina placed baby Anne with a loving couple after her teenage mother sought help to ensure her child's welfare. Nurses in Greensboro cared for Anne, while caseworkers evaluated backgrounds, hereditary potential, and stability to find a suitable home far from her birth parents. The agency aims to prevent insecure outgrowths by careful investigation and matching, serving the state on a nonsectarian basis and supporting thousands of children since 1902 through voluntary contributions.
