Episcopal Church Expands Reform At Triennial Convention
The Episcopal Church ends its triennial convention with new paths for reform including wider theological inquiry and reduced juridical control. It funds urban slum crisis work with 3 million dollars annually, allows women in the legislative body, seeks broader Protestant unity, invites baptized Christians to share Communion, revises seminary oversight, trials a new Communion service, and empowers lay distribition of Communion.
