Prison Guards Indicted Over Prisoner Abuse
A federal grand jury indicted four state prison camp employees Leamon L. Parrish O Clyde Markham Albert R. Bellot and James Sheldon Walker on 66 counts for illegally assaulting and abusing inmates. It notes 28 percent of speed violations occurred despite some rule, 14 percent exceeded the limit, five percent drove under safe speeds, and nine percent violated safe speeds where no limit was stated.
