British Columbia to enter bone dry era under new ban
The province will enforce prohibition at midnight as John Barleycorn leaves British Columbia. The law bans sale or barter of liquor under any pretense with penalties of six months to 21 months imprisonment. Soldiers' votes in France and England were ruled irregular, but provincial results upheld by local vote.
