Mrs Buren Andrews and Mrs Gurney Peace hosted a Trinity Methodist Hut shower Friday night for Betsy Andrews bride elect of Oct 15 to wed Bill King of High Point. About 50 guests attended as contests and gift presentation underscored the green and white wedding theme.

The Jarrett family announces a reunion on Oct. 2 at the residence of the late Albert Jarrett located on Route 1 in Lexington. Family members are invited to gather at the home to reconnect and share memories.
Asheboro notices report the engagement of Peggy Jo Dorsett to Curtis Eugene Huff of Ramseur with a planned wedding on October 14 at Parks Cross Roads Christian Church. Peggy Jo, a Ramseur High School and Commercial College of Asheboro graduate, works at Klopman Mills. Curtis is a Summerfield High School graduate now farming and masoning with his father.
The High Point Pharmaceutical Auxiliary will convene Wednesday at 8 o clock with Mrs. R M Calhoun at 1102 Johnson Street. Speaker will be Mrs A R Cross past president of the High Point Medical Auxiliary and nurse recruitment officer for North Carolina.
Mrs. Nina Shaw and the board discussed installing new officers at the October meeting. They also talked about the upcoming Bosses Night. Mrs. James Dorsett led the program.
