Matching Panels Are Discovered In Albany Townhouse
Vivid early American wallpaper panels in an Albany townhouse may identical to those in the White House reception room. Helena Mason says the panels were bought by the late Gov. Alfred E. Smith for his daughter, once in the Mason home. White House panels were purchased for 12 500 dollars at Jacqueline Kennedy's request by the National Society of Interior Designers. The panels titled Scenic America depict views of New York City West Point Niagara Falls Natural Bridge and an Indian dance.
