Dr Julian S Hopkins, secretary of evangelism for the Baptist state convention of North Carolina, will preach at First Baptist Church in Chair City at 8:30 and 11 a.m. services tomorrow. A native of Ashe County, he attended West Jefferson schools and Wake Forest College, then Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has been an educator and pastor in Castalia Nash and Franklin counties and cities including Greensboro Waynesville High Point and Suffolk Virginia, and since 1956 has directed the state evangelism program.
