Buenos Aires Welcome and Wit from a Visiting Writer
In a Buenos Aires dispatch a writer dismisses warnings about street harassment as exaggerated and notes minimal trouble for unattended women. She compares manners to New York and Paris, admires Argentine fashion, and portrays Florida Street as the social center with women in elaborate dress and men often watching but not offending, while some dances attract mainly American and English guests.
