Wilkes County Delegation Seeks Federal Road Aid
A Wilkes county booster delegation led by H. Caviness and M. L. Mott visited High Point to urge an authorized $250,000 federal appropriation for permanent road building. They argued flood damage and poor roads hinder commerce and noted Wilkes county voted $250,000 in bonds but cannot sell them for a year. The group seeks support from High Point and the Commercial Club and will have a county commission cooperative meeting later.
