America Develops Aviation Service Lessons From the War

Plans for expanding United States military aviation follow French success and Allied examples. The War Department executes new appropriation funded growth from 13 million to over 13.28 million for aviation, creates a larger officer corps, civilian training, reserve schools, and a federal testing plant to speed aircraft development.
