The Simmons Bondurant wedding took place at Armfield Heights Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Miller officiating. Miss Nancy Carroll Bondurant, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Alvin Bondurant, wed Joseph Jefferson Simmons, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jannie Lee Simmons of Candor, in Asheboro. The couple plans to live in Candor after a wedding trip. both are employed in Star and at Russell Hosiery Mills in Star respectively. The ceremony featured Miss Sue Clark as maid of honor and bridesmaids in fern green crepe, with Ben Wade Owens as best man. other attendants included Bill Simmons and Tommy Britt among ushers.

The rehearsal for the wedding of Miss Susan Holmes and Henry H. Phelps Jr. will be held Friday at 6 30 p m. The couple wed Saturday at the First Methodist Church with a buffet at 8 p.m. and cake cutting hosted by Mr and Mrs G B Whitten of Thomasville. A breakfast follows Saturday at 1 a m in the Gold Room of the Sheraton Hotel hosted by Mr and Mrs Henry H Phelps and Mrs Frank Holmes.
