Dengler Walks Again After Car Breaks Down
Navy Lt. Dieter Dengler, famed for a 22 day jungle escape in Laos, had to walk back to Washington when his borrowed car broke down on Saturday. After a Senate Armed Services Committee ovation, he spent the night with friends and found help three hours later to reach the Pentagon for a Navy briefing. He quipped that there were no mosquitoes or leeches in this jungle.

Marines Hold Off North Vietnamese After Sudden Assault
In South Viet Nam frontier fighting two U S Marine companies Bravo and Delta of the 4th Marine Regiment were cut off Saturday night by a battalion or more of North Vietnamese regulars.
