The Faculty Wives Club, led by Mrs. Herman Coble and Mrs. Arthur Williams, met with Mrs. Dennis H. Cooke on W College Dr for a luncheon to inaugurate the year. Book Review Coffee Hour Returns at Local YWCA
The Adams Memorial YWCA hosted the first Fall Book Review Coffee Hour on Friday September 16 with about 45 attendees. Mrs. Cecil Haworth reviewed Leaven of Malice by Robertson Davies Minding Our Own Business by Charlotte Paul and touched on Betty MacDonald's Onions in the Stew. The next review is scheduled for October 21 at 10 30 and all are invited.

Women Voters Units Begin County Government Study
Four High Point League of Women Voters units opened a three month study of Guilford County government with a focus on administrative offices. Using a Chapel Hill Institute of Government survey as a guide, members discussed organization, purchasing, finance, and practices, with October and November plans for additional departmental topics.
